Description
The NovaStar TB40 is a high-performance multimedia player and LED display controller from NovaStar's Taurus series. It combines media playback, content scheduling, and sending card functions into a single compact device. 
Key Specifications
  • Loading Capacity: Supports up to 1,300,000 pixels, with a maximum width or height of 4096 pixels. 
  • Processor & OS: Quad-core ARM A55 processor (1.8 GHz) running Android 11. 
  • Memory & Storage: 1 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
  • Video Decoding: Hardware decoding up to 4K@60Hz (H.264, H.265, MPEG4, VP8, VP9).
  • Power Consumption: DC 12V 2A input (maximum 18W).
Ports & Connectivity
  • Outputs: 2x Gigabit Ethernet data outputs for LED receiving cards, plus an HDMI loop-through output.
  • Inputs: 1x HDMI input port for live/synchronous video feeds. 
  • Network & Data: Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi (AP and STA modes), USB 3.0 port, sensor connectors, and optional 4G/5G module support. 
  • Time Synchronization: Supports NTP, GPS, and RF time sync for multi-screen coordination. 
Operating Modes
  • Asynchronous Mode: Plays scheduled or standalone content locally from internal storage or a USB drive, even if the network goes offline.
  • Synchronous Mode: Takes a live video feed via the HDMI input and scales it directly to the LED display.
  • Cloud & App Management: Content and display settings can be managed remotely via VNNOX Cloud, ViPlex Express, ViPlex Handy, or NovaLCT.
